Let's Celebrate "The Parts of Us"

Welcome to "The Parts of Us," a blog dedicated to celebrating the beauty and significance of every human body part. As a lifelong caretaker, former martial artist, and retired massage therapist with 18 years of spa experience, I've had the privilege of intimately understanding the intricacies of the human form and the wonders it holds. On the bridge between martial and healing arts, I understood that the same points that suffer harm can also be used for healing.

I've always sensed body tension and stress, and for as long as I had the strength, my hands were called where needed. For me, it felt innate. Now, despite facing the challenges of disability, I will share my stories, insights, and admiration for the parts of us that support who we are.

This blog is born from my love for my work and appreciation for the special functions and flaws within each facet of our being. I aim to educate, honor, and uplift our human form's incredible diversity and complexity.

Here, you'll find a joyous and graphic exploration of the human body, approached from a non-sexual perspective. I intend to shed light on the remarkable abilities and resiliency within our cells without objectifying or diminishing their profound importance.

Join me, and we'll embark on a journey of discovery, weaving together personal reflections and captivating anecdotes with the beauty of scientific understanding. Each blog post will delve into a specific body part, highlighting its unique role and flaws and emphasizing the awe-inspiring ways it contributes to our overall well-being.

Whether you're a fellow massage therapist, a fellow healing practitioner, someone curious about the human body, or simply seeking a positive and enlightening perspective, "The Parts of Us" invites you to explore and embrace the beauty and wonders of our shared human experience.
